Our July 17th meeting was our annual Photo Contest reveal. The pictures that our own members take were stunning and you’d enjoy seeing landscapes, master gardener projects, small gardens, specimen plants and wildlife. Our judge, Eric Bowles, said he really loved all the entries this year. Eric is an Atlanta based Nature photographer specializing in the Southeastern United States. His work has been published in magazines, newspapers and commercial publications. He critiqued each of the photo entries and gave hints on how they could have been improved. June 2023 Meeting
Our June 19th meeting featuring Connie Rosenthal, the Straw Bale Ambassador, was most informative and a lot of fun! Connie’s sense of humor was refreshing as she explained why she strongly endorses straw bale gardening. Our speaker encouraged members to check out books by Joel Karsten for more information on the process. Connie is an amateur gardener living in Jasper, Georgia and has been implementing the techniques of Straw Bale Gardening by Joel Karste. She has been overrun with vegetables and is expanding her garden haul to local restaurants and Farmers’ Markets. Related Images:
