January 2026 Meeting

Posted on by

Hillary Thompson from Soil3 joins us at Bethesda Senior Center for our January 19th meeting at 12PM to talk about Improving Soil Health. Learn why you should feed the soil, not your plants, and how organic matter will take care of the rest for you. We’ll start with how Soil3 compost is made, explore why compost makes such a big difference in plant health and growth, and wrap up with how much compost you need for different gardening scenarios. Since watering is a large part of nutrient availability and plant health, Hillary will be giving a rain gauge to every attendee.   We’ll have our pot lunch at 11:30AM – if you’d like to join us, please bring a dish to share.
