The Gwinnett County Master Gardeners Association had the opportunity to partner with Whole Foods Market in providing informational tables on healthy eating and horticulture in the State Bridge Road store on January 16. For participation in this event, Whole Foods Market has provided a donation to support GCMGA project grants. To make this event a success, 27 members contributed their time and expertise to educated the community in the importance of growing healthy foods and promoting a healthy environment. Special recognition goes to Rosalie Tubre for coordinating this event with Whole Foods Market. The GCMGA will continue to provide monthly “Ask a Master Gardener” events at Whole Foods Market each month. These events provide an opportunity for MG Extension Service volunteer hours and the potential for other partnerships with Whole Foods. Related Images:

2013 GRANTS
The Gwinnett County Master Gardener Association (GCMGA) will provide $5,000 in Grants in 2013 to GCMGA members for projects to support our mission to serve as stewards of the environment and to educate the public about horticultural practices that foster both beautiful gardens and a healthy environment. Join Gwinnett County Master Gardeners Association!
For those of you who haven’t yet renewed your membership, please do. If you’re not a current member, we invite you to join our group whether you’re Master Gardeners or just like gardening and want to be a Friend of our organization. We have great speakers lined up for this year as well as interesting field trips, other activities and events. Come to our meetings (see our calendar for dates, time and location).
