SPEAKER CHANGE! Our speaker for our last meeting of the year on October 21st was Jonathan Cassidy of the Gwinnett Extension Agency. Jonathan’s topic will be the History of the UGA Founders Memorial Garden. Many of us had no idea this garden still exists and it was fascinating to hear him talk about the garden.
Jonathan was born in Gwinnett and attended Gwinnett Tech and Abraham Baldwin Ag College to obtain a degree in Agricultural Production and Rural Studies, then obtained his Masters’ from UGA on Historic Preservation. The garden is a special place to him and he share that.
