June 2015 Monthly Meeting

Posted on by

Our June 15th meeting featured Karan Rawlins, the Invasive Species Coordinator for Invasive Species and Ecosystem Health at the University of Georgia in Tifton.   Karan covered the entire range of invasives – not only plants, but animals.  Who knew feral hogs were not native to the United States?  She also shared information about First Detectors, a project that will offer tools and training to enable Master Gardeners ways to identify and report invasive species infestations.   Karen is a great speaker and those who attended enjoyed the program.
