In June, Jane Burke taught workshop attendees how to make Felted Flowers. Felt Flowers can be pinned to a hat or used as a brooch and make delightful gifts. Everyone had a great time at Jane’s and each member made one red poppy with a black center and then took home supplies to make a second flower. Related Images:

Hilary Wilson – People to People and Community Gardens
GCMGA member and past president, Hilary Wilson, has been working with the folks at the Gwinnett Coalition for Health and Human Services and the Communications department filming their project; “People to People and Community Gardens”. , supplying fresh produce to those in need in the Gwinnett community through community gardens donations. She did a very informative interview with Ellen Gerstein on the Gwinnett TV channel about the People to People project and also talked about the MGEV program here in Gwinnett and what all we do as well as mentioning a few of our ongoing projects. Lanier Children’s Gardening
Member Lynn Ware, a new 2015 Master Gardener, along with MG’s Rosalie Tubre and Winnie White began the first classat Lanier Community Garden with area children to teach them about gardening. This is an on-going project started by Rosalie and has had enthusiastic interest. Related Images:
