Posted on by

Dr. Bodie Pennisi, Associate Professor and Extension Landscape Specialist at the University of Georgia, was the guest speaker at the GCMGA meeting on March 18.  Dr. Bodie spoke on Seeds, Cuttings, and Scions: The Exciting World of Plant Propagation.

Plants have evolved an amazing array of ways to replicate themselves and adapt to the environment, and we humans have taken advantage of those since antiquity. Dr. Bodie teaches an undergraduate course on Plant Propagation and shared highlights from this course with the audience.  She explored the biology of seeds, cuttings, and grafting and shared tips for successful techniques of plant propagation.
