Pioneer Species: Part 2 – Green Mulch Conquers Weeds

Posted on by

Most weeds are fast-growing annuals; you combat them by crowding them out by having vigorous, healthy plants in your garden. This is where green mulch comes in.

MISSION STATEMENT

Our mission is to serve as stewards of the environment; operate in cooperation with UGA, the College of Agriculture and Environmental Sciences and the Gwinnett County Extension Service; and voluntarily educate the public of Gwinnett County, Georgia about horticultural practices that will foster both a healthy environment and beautiful gardens.
