On February 16th at Bethesda Senior Center, we’ll be listening to Christine Todd educate us on “Getting Started in Hydroponics“. Christine is a passionate hobbyist gardener for the past nine years. Since 2019, she’s focused specifically on hydroponic gardening—a method that has fascinated her due to its adaptability and efficiency. Her interest in hydroponics grew while living in states like Florida, Colorado, and Minnesota, where water restrictions and extreme weather often made traditional outdoor gardening challenging. These experiences inspired her to explore indoor growing environments, where she learned to replicate sunlight cycles and optimize plant nutrition to grow healthier, faster plants with minimal pesticide use.
